Angie Zavoral Conley
Founder, President & CEO, Abilitech Medical Angie Zavoral Conley has served as Abilitech’s President and Chief Executive Officer since founding the company in late 2016. Under Angie’s leadership, Abilitech Medical has won numerous awards, including both the Tekne Award for innovation from Minnesota High Tech Association and the Grand Prize and Top Woman-led Business at the Minnesota Cup - the largest state-led business competition. Abilitech has also been recognized as a Top 10 Medical Device Startup by MedTech Outlook; a Top 20 Medical Device Startup You Need to Know by MassDevice magazine; and a Top Promising Life Science Company by Rice University. In her role as President and CEO of Abilitech, Angie has raised over ten million in equity funding and nearly two million dollars in non-dilutive funding. Prior to founding Abilitech, Angie held leadership roles in several medical device companies, including working with exoskeletons at Magic Arms; peripheral and neurovascular atherectomy devices at ev3/Covidien; and heart valves, instruments, telemonitoring equipment, and pacemakers and defibrillators at Medtronic. She is an alumna of the Springboard Enterprise and Texas Medical Center accelerator programs and is named as an inventor on two patents. |
Gena Petrella Elverhoy
Co-Founder, Caregiver-Connect Gena Petrella Elverhoy co-founded Caregivers-Connect in 2020 to provide networking and resource sharing for families caring for loved ones with emotional, physical, intellectual, and behavioral challenges. Gena and co-founder Genevieve Cornish each have a special needs child. As working business professionals, they saw several associations designed for businesses and business professionals to learn from one another and share ideas. But none were dedicated to the special supports and challenges faced by caregivers. Caregivers-Connect is designed to allow working and non-working individuals alike to learn from one another, share resources and best practices, and gain greater success through community. Gena has extensive IT business leadership experience that supports the virtual networking and resource sharing. In 2018, she founded Clarityze in 2018 to create sustainable programs for businesses to improve communication and expectations with IT, gain time for more valuable proactive activity, and reduce risk by ensuring the right people have access to the right information. Earlier in her career, she worked at Marco, Inc., and Sovran, Inc., in data center virtualization, voice and data Infrastructure, collaboration, and messaging and security for mid-market clients. She studied theater at the University of Minnesota and Augsburg University and holds multiple certifications in Cisco and Dell/EMC applications. |
Y. Elaine Rasmussen
CEO, Social Impact Strategies Group Y. Elaine Rasumussen is driven to democratize access to capital by and for women and communities of color and mainstreaming impact investing. Through Social Impact Strategies Group (SISG), she designs community-centered strategies for philanthropists, foundations, investors and social entrepreneurs for positive, sustainable social impact. She has been recognized for driving impact and organizational effectiveness at a range of organizations including: Shearson/Lehman Bros., Native Americans in Philanthropy, Warner Bros!, Dreamworks, and the U.S. State Department. She is the producer of ConnectUP! MN an investor/investee event and Blackonomics, a Black-focused wealth-building event in Minnesota. An the author of Protecting the Protectors: Aligning Investment Strategies for Native American Communities, Elaine speaks on panels locally and nationally on impact investing, sits on the Association for Black Economic Power executive committee and MNVest board of directors. Elaine is a Visiting Advisor for Swift Foundation, an RSF Integrated Capital Fellow, and Nexus Community Partners TA Cooperative Developer Fellow. She is an active community volunteer and serves on the board of Minnesota Diversified Industries, a nonprofit, social enterprise manufacturer employing people with disabilities to create corrugated packaging solutions for businesses nationwide. |
